Cisco Solution Innovation Award 2008

On 14 May, 2009 Cisco Systems Hungary held its annual Partner Excellence Award Ceremony in Budapest where NETvisor was presented with the prestigious “Cisco Solutions Innovation Partner of the Year 2008” award for its successful performance monitoring product: PerformanceVisor.
By complementing the functionality of the Cisco products and solutions NETvisor’s PerformanceVisor product supports and generates additional sales for Cisco Systems.
PerformanceVisor (PVSR) is a comprehensive performance monitoring cost effectively scalable system for monitoring, maintenance and reporting purposes. It can monitor different systems including servers, networks and applications in enterprise or service provider environments. PVSR is a useful tool for operators, making their daily tasks easier, but has other uses too: it can provide information for the users about the usage and load of the systems they are using and make the capacity planning easier by identifying the most used resources in a system. Thanks to its flexible and scalable architecture and to its license policy, PVSR is fitting for systems with various sizes, monitoring tens or thousands of equipments.
PerformanceVisor - following the current trends - offers with its reporting subsystem more than measurement summarization, represented in tables (normal or TopN-BottomN) or depicted on charts. With its complex threshold subsystem the users can also define on the GUI thresholds capable of representing a Service Level Agreement (SLA). These two subsystems (thresholds and reporting) enable the creation of SLA reports, showing the percentage of time when SLA violations had occurred. For even more sophisticated SLA conditions, PVSR can also be extended with an SLA subsystem extension which is able pull data from other systems as well and compute arbitrarily complex SLAs based on these values. Quality requirements (subjective criteria, or requirements based on Key Performance Indicators, KPI-s defined by the Service Level Agreements) may be modeled and the system continuously calculates the service level quality metrics on the basis of these models.

PerformanceVisor has the following general measurement server types (SNMP, ASCII, Oracle, Ping, Synthetic transactions (HTTP, FTP, DNS, DHCP, NTP, RADIUS, TELNET, SSH, Email, LDAP), Unix/Linux) and also supports the Cisco equipments (Cisco QoS, CiscoPing, Cisco SAA, Cisco Call Manager, JMX, Netflow).
