Audit & Consultation

Audit and consultation

Like the human body, IT systems also require regular tests. These audits may be necessary for various reasons, including the need for information on the network's health status, for ensuring efficient operation and adequate support for the institutions' base processes, and for determining whether there are any cheaper operating options available. Raising these questions is important because in the lifecycle of an IT investment only 30 percent goes towards launching the investment, while the remaining 70 percent is spent on operation, the efficiency of which definitely requires reconciliation. The audit may result in a simple diagnosis but even a "surgical intervention" is possible.

NETvisor's team members are real-life professionals with professional qualifications and theoretical knowledge, and also exceptional experience in developing and operating complex and mission critical systems. We use their knowledge in the following professional areas:

  • Design of new IT investments: our primary objective is to have the solution we recommend provide the most efficient and long-term support for the specific institution's basic functions. This service includes preparing a system plan meeting the customers' expectations, as well as tender documentation.
  • Quality assurance of implementation and project management: provisioning of a quality implementation in line with users' professional and business interests and complete professional support for the delivery-acceptance procedure. Customers are interested in how the implemented IT system helps their work and how they can measure the effectiveness of these new systems.

Network auditing

  • Discover end-to-end issues: Trouble ticketing and troubleshooting suggestions in scenarios like "We don't know what the problem is but something just doesn't work properly."
  • Safety audit providing a network overview: how the network operates, whether there are any faulty components, what the Internet is used for, what shortcomings exist in terms of security.
  • Network monitoring: continuous monitoring of the key indicators of network operation, preparation of trends based on changes, and management of threshold warnings to prevent network operating problems.

Consulting and documentation

NETvisor offers consulting services to support the operation of the managed system, the design, implementation and documentation of system development and modification.

Consulting includes all areas related to the specific system, in particular:

  • Design support : overall system design concept, scaling of network components, configuration recommendations;
  • Implementation support: preparation for the integration of new functions; performing the necessary tests using the tools of the customers and those in NETvisor's own laboratory; taking all necessary steps toward  development of  software upgrades;
  • Operation support: answering questions regarding day-to-day operation; consulting;
  • Knowledge transfer: operating functions of the operated system, protocols, properties and their implementations in the specific devices;
  • Problem analysis and resolution proposals: testing, data compilation, measurements, proposals, remote login to network;
  • System documentation must be prepared and regularly updated to reflect any changes in order to ensure efficient and safe systems operation.
